"transvestite" oh wow holy shit that's dated af. This was released in 2009 but the language is already dated: hookers & whores instead of sex workers, transvestite instead of transperson, no mention of anything binary, using 5he term "straight" instead of cishet. But yeah the "transvestite" is..wow. even a cross dresser sounds better. So language has evolved a lot in 15 years (I bet the rightwingers hate that).

So much better than I remembered (at least so far). Sure I still don't care for Rick but I don't actively despise him, and the worldbuilding is so good. Rick is obviously a shifter. 15 books eh? I'll have to try to read only 2-3 in a row
