“We are intended to be more than that” INTENDED BY WHOM sir where is the ‘intention’ behind evolution.

Overuse of antibiotics is causing dysbiosis and making people (read: rich western people, at least so far in the book) sick. Okay. What is your evidence that people pre-antibiotics overuse were not sick or not in states of dysbiosis. I might be nitpicking but so far he’s making a very strident argument with not much evidence yet presented.

Barely one chapter in: He is very critical of the basic assumptions of medical research, and the struggle of patients to get answers or effective treatment. As someone with one of these chronic diseases I’m sympathetic. But he has an even more fundamental assumption: that the default state of the human body, of bodies in general, is a healthy one. So far he does not interrogate that.
