Hey peeps who work and have disabilities, I’ve got a question:
I’d like to start working soon, but I’ve never worked retail and I actually have a lot of invisible disabilities (the biggest one being that I’m deaf). How do y’all do it? When interviewing, do you tell them about your disabilities? Do you get accommodations? Is it hard? What first jobs would you say work best and are friendly?

Tell them about your disabilities is the way to go!!! Some people will hire you bc you know how to handle and work with those people since ur one yourself!

All jobs have challenges and set backs, so just dot the job you want and make money off of coming home being happy!

in the application you can click the answer saying you have a disability. Also u have rights based on the disabilities act so I would look that up. As someone with a disability I’ve been able to have accommodations from HR. It’s a legal right as well due to this act.

Also this is a little off topic but do you know sign language? I always think it’s so cool seeing being fluent in the language!!
