I am much happier with this book now that I have delved farther into the series. The changes in timeframe and, thus, character development don't seem as jarring.

Well, this book ended sort of abruptly with the end of one of the short stories.

I am not sure if I am not a short story person, or I am not a short story in a series person. I am finding this book difficult as it jumps around in time. The Charles Lenox Mysteries series has a definite timeline. I picked up this book, because I thought it was a short story that slotted in between numbers 4 and 5. I found that the first story did that, but that the second story jumps ahead several years.

This doesn't have the snap and pop in eBook form that I enjoy in the audio versions of this series.
