In this progress update i will talk about how the title connects to the book and how the author uses a lot of information. I do not think that the title really connects to the information that she is giving the readers in the book, yes i understand that this kid only one more year to live but why deadline why not LIFE or another word(s) that could have been more powerful and more meaningful title.

This book is an amazing book compared to other books that i have read before. The author has an interesting way of writing this book, I know that this author has written books before and i wonder is this is how he writes all of his books. I love this book and it seems very unique and not alike any other books.

The Author gives great detail that helps the readers understand the book and how this boy will only get one more year to live. I like how he tells how this boy does not want to tell his parents and how he deals with his problems and what he goes through.

This book must be my most favorite book of all time. My favorite part of the book is when ben finds out he is diagnosed with some diseases that will shorten his life down to one year, even though this is one of the saddest parts in the book so far.The author Chris Crutcher has written books mostly about about sports, but guess what, the author tied sports into this book by making the main character is a soccer player

I am now on page 34. The main characters name is Ben, He is diagnosed with some sort of disease that makes his life span one year. He is 18 years old and refusing to get any treatment done. He jokes around saying he hopes he gets killed playing soccer so he does not die because of his disease. I use my strategies to help me read this book. I would recommend this book to anyone no matter what types of books they like.

I just started the book Deadline. This book is about an 18 year old boy who has been diagnosed with some sort of cancer and he only has one year to live. He just told his brother what is going to happen and how he is refusing to get any treatment done. This book is quite challenging since I have dyslexia. This book is for 14 year olds but I have used my strategies of making a movie in my head while I read. READ THIS
