I think I would rather open my child's box because I think it would be harder for my child to tell me the length of their string rather than me seeing for myself. I don't think I would tell them I would wait till they are ready to tell me if they decide to look, even though I would already know.

I feel as if our community comes together for anything really, if a tragedy happens, if the school has a game to play, if there is a holiday event. Our community comes together to celebrate and take care of one another so often that I wouldn't know any different.

I think that the cyclist is playing this song to lighten up the mood of the book, but also to show that what happens happens and that there is really nothing you can do to stop or change it. That it will happen no matter what, like how in the book you can't change the length of your string, but you also don't know how you die, but you only know when you will.

I think I would do what Ben did if I or someone I cared about had a short string. I am more short-tempered and get mad easily, so I would stick up for what I believe or someone fighting for what I believe.

I think that they are like other minority groups because they are being treated badly because of the length of their life. They are refused care at a normal hospital, it's hard for them to get a job. I think that depending on how much time they have left of their string, they should fight, like if they had 10 or so years left, but if it were someone with a year or even months left, I think they should look past it.

I think if I were Hank, I would've done what he did. He is already at the end of his string so I dont think I would really think about the life or death in the situation I would just go for it.

I don't really know how I feel about Rollins. I agree that some in office shouldn't have a short string, but try to make them show their string to prove that they're qualified. It seems like he is discriminating against them. "Rollins had ignited ... something."

I think that the way that Hank and Ben both handle their string is similar because neither of them wanted to tell any one so that they dont hurt them and Hank just tried to distract himself with work and so did Ben. I think these two characters are the most similar out of the whole book

I think that the shooter was Jonathan and the realization and horror will set in quicker when we come to actually find out who the shooter was I think that he was acting in a sense of rage because they couldn’t help him and I think that it will make the next month if Hank working there scared of anyone to enter or leave the hospital, as a whole society I think that they will constantly be on edge of everything
