if i had a nickel for every time an american dude wanted to turn a skinwalker creepypasta into a novel, but at the same he was afraid of the backlash by native americans and woke mob, so he resorted to inserting a convoluted backstory which reads like a disclaimer "i didn't really exlpoit native lore!!" (in this case, the explanation iswhite settlers are to blame)....... actually that would be my third nickel i think
