Eli N. So is it good?

Antonio Miller-Perez It’s alright. It gets tedious at times because it become repetitive in analysis and the analysis itself is somewhat lacking. Democrats are overwhelmingly funded by large corporations, democrat promise progressive policy then enact regressive policy, and democrats co-opt social movements aren’t really revelatory insights. But I think it has value almost serving as an almanac for the democrats horrible and insidious history. I imagine someone having one foot over the cliff of disillusionment on the Democratic Party being easily pushed over entirely by this book. I also think the last couple chapters that focus specifically on the question of changing the Democratic Party from within and the notion of lesser evil politics to be fairly interesting. Although, the Hal Draper appendix sums up the answer to those questions with considerably more depth and brevity. There’s also a subtle Trotskyist slant, it’s a Haymarket book after all.
