-lord robart is already pissing me off and it hasnt even been publicly announced that her parents are dead yet. showing up to the meeting they "summoned" her to (she should be the one summoning them) wearing mourning colors after telling her not to until they announce it and then saying its the messengers fault? i call bullshit.

i wrote a whole reaction in my notes but its too long to put here lmao. short version: i think this book is so much more interesting than priory but i think its BECAUSE i read priory first and thats allowing me to ask more questions. i have so many questions LMAO i cant wait to find out the answers to them

ohhh okay i think he was able to survive the heat from the wyrms and the cold from the water because he was born from a sage with siden fire so its in his blood like tunuva said about siyu taking the fruit whilst pregnant so that her child knew the flame and then also i think canthe gave him some of her sterren power or something which is why shes always "cold" at least according to tunuva

can't remember if i said this already but i accidentally spoiled for myself that tunuva's son is still alive. so my theory was that canthe took her son and left him in the haithwood and that boy is wulf. well i think my theory was just confirmed because he said he has a vague memory of bees and tunuva said her son and his father died searching for honey

ugh i love glorian's dad hes so sweet with her:') i also love dumai's mom and dad too they both love her so much. but rn im reading glorian seeing her dad for the first time after someone tried to kill her and i just love how sweet he is with her. hes like this big bad viking king but hes so soft with her and tells her its okay to cry:')

okay nikeye is coming with dumai on the journey so i was convinced the romance would be happening but i wanted to be sure so i wasnt disappointed if it didnt happen so i googled it and they do end up together so yay!!!!!! i love this enemies to lovers situation i really love nikeye

okay now my thoughts on tunuva: god she is pissing me off. im sorry but how is she not suspicious of canthe??? i know that ~i~ know more than she does but how is she not even a little sus? canthe shows up, you know she has powers from a different tree, and you dont immediately clock that she can shapeshift and is the one who told hidat to kill the boy??? when saghul was on her death bed, being watched 24/7, and wouldve been unable to??? also just the fact that canthe tried to steal ead from sabran in priory and now shes so obviously trying to steal tunuva away from esbar its just sooooooo obvious and its working. im sorry but siyu is a brat. but shes also an adult and can make her own choices. siyu running away is not more important than the love of your life having to start a new role as prioress right when the dreadmount erupts and you saw wryms fly from it and then the things that hatched. like siyu is the last priority, shes an adult and can make her own decisions. plus shes being a brat. i mean yes her boyfriend was killed and she thinks it was the priory and no one realizes it was actually canthe but. god just let her go! now her and esbar are fighting and tunuva left the priory against direct orders to go find someone who has left twice now. tunuva's naivete is getting on my nerves
okay now my thoughts on my favorite dumai. (last thoughts because theres only 4 perspectives). i love dumai so much i wish she was given more "screen time" than tunuva. i feel like we aren't getting as much of her as we should. i want more of her!!!! her and nikeya are sooooooo cute the tension between them is chefs kiss omg. the built up tension of nikeya offering to comb dumai's hair and dumai saying no but then constantly imagining it and the tension every time nikeya combs her own hair after????? when dumai finally lets nikeya comb her hair, thats going to be better than sex. god its so intimate and i just know the slowburn of that is going to eat. i love them i love them i love them. i want more of them why is tunuva getting more chapters than dumai!!! dumai is so much more interesting!!!!! ugh i hope we start getting more of her soon
-thoughts on wulf: man i cant wait to find out more about him. did canthe give him sterren powers somehow and thats how hes miraculously surviving all of this? but i feel so bad for him that literally everyone he cared about is dead (except for his adoptive family but hes been away for so long so i mean like everyone hes been friends with for the past like 10 years or so is dead) i feel so bad
