Peter is a charismatic guy, but he closes himself off from other people. He probably has a sad backstory

Alice and Peter just left desire. Both are very obsessed with Graham. Even though Graham is clearly evil and toxic. Alice is definitely an unreliable narrator when it comes to Graham. The abusive relationship between Alice and Graham reminds me a lot of Rin and Altan from the PWT. Both Altan and Graham permanently mark Alice/Rin. And both have an unhealthy obsession. The characters of Rin/Alice are actually similar.

Alice and Peter just entered the First Court of Hell. Which is pride. The goal of this ring is to define good. While it seems easy enough, it is actually quite difficult to answer. It has me wondering how you define good. If good (and by association evil) can even be defined in a neat little sentence or two

It is very confusing for me, though, which i think is the effect the author was going for. The Kafkaesk world building is very intriguing.

I'm starting to realize that Professor Grimes is probably not a good person. He is the reason a group of undergrads died. The concept of reincarnation pretty interesting in the book

Enticing start. The author just throws you right into the plot letting you figure it out as you go. I am not totally sure what alice looks like
