I think if any new comer to the IP were to read the novels, they should start here. The MC is a new Vampire herself and is just as confused about what she is and how things work as a new reader would be. Not a perfect intro, but nothing like the first two as far as being thrown into the deep end.

This is a lot less intense than the last book but I enjoy the more personal story.

Did I read that right? She licked a dog’s gross ear full of ear mites. Grosses thing I read in this series so far. And I finished clan book Tzimisce.
