You know, if someone were to talk about, for example, Black people or women the way Bender and Hanna talk about AIs, I'd be strongly inclined to call it hate speech. But it's okay, because, as they remind us every other paragraph, AIs don't have feelings.

They say some some interesting things about how the AI industry exploits casual labour, especially in non-first-world countries. But yes, the general feeling is that they are deranged. I am actually kind of concerned about this, they present such an easy target. If you're Elon Musk and want people to think that everyone who objects to the way you do AI is a lunatic, these people must be rather convenient to cite. There are very sensible objections to be made, but here they're drowned in the noise.
