Everyone on my tiktok fyp keep talking about how “literary” Alchemised by SenLinYu is and it’s really pissing me off because I KNOW that stupid ass DRACO/HERMIONE fic is not of any palatable quality…
And Dramione fans seem to think that calling something “dark fantasy” makes it immune to criticism?
In other news, my library has Alchemised should I bother wasting 1000+ pages worth of my time?

im gonna get it from the library because im not spending my money on it bc if the manacled fans think this is “miles ahead of any book published nowadays” then i know they haven’t read enough and only read mainstream booktok 💀

please don't. i genuinely don't think ragging on this book is worth it considering JKR considers any discussion of her work as implicit support and you can't decouple this book from its origins as a slave fanfiction. trans people in the uk have enough trouble without ppl hate reading reskinned fanfiction of hp & making this kind of this acceptable
