i finally figured out why i’m having such a hard time reading this. there are really only two characters. sure they mention a bunch of different people but it’s Alex & Darlington. and their both of ur POVs. alex thinking. darlington thinking. but i’m almost 100 pages in and i do not understand what this books purpose is? can they do more than exposition of the world PLEASE

i am enjoying this more and more but man idk if it’s the writing style but i feel like i a sluggin through this book. where has darlington gone? why is there a murder? what’s alex’s role? i’m seeing pieces but no string to attach them

please stop jumping from past to present in the middle of different paragraphs i’m so lost leigh
