thoughts before starting Part 2. I'm enjoying the worldbuilding, and I think the MFC's slow spiral into losing herself due to the isolation, torture, growing stlochom syndrome, etc was well done. Writing is beautifully devastating, and it's very much a horror fantasy. I think the world is different enough to separate itself from the HP IP, though it'll always be in the back of ppls minds, just like Fifty Shades is.

So, I never actually finished the fic this book originated from, but just knowing the general direction the story is going has me doubled over in pain over the smallest interactions the two MCs have.
