I'm irrationally irritated when major publishers don't fix tense issues in a blockbuster book. This book is written is present tense. Its editor didn't know that when the narrative dips into the past, that's past tense (eg 'was'), not past perfect tense ('had been'). Over and over again. Driving me bananas.
