I realy enjoyed the story of the young lawyer and his mentor, who both went abour raiding from the 1971 act that gave a billion dollars and land to the native Alaskans. They way Michener shows the mentor on the edge of getting arrested, and then the beautifuls scenery hunting down game made for good suspense.
