Definitely not reading a thriller here. On page 38, I said to myself, “OK, so clearly Michael has a brain tumor.” Why did it take until page 161 for the author to confirm it? Also, Grace is horrible. What a brat.

I’ll say it: Grace is an arrogant, selfish bitch who has no idea what it means to love someone. Her conviction that she is so superior to everyone, including her terminally ill boyfriend, will hopefully be her downfall. Would like to see the book end with Grace 1000 years old and alone, filled with regret, because that is what this character deserves.
