…same exact sentiments. Flat world building, flat FMC, and weak characterization of Garrett, Keil, and Erick. All of them are one note. There is no meaningful WHY to what any of them do. They solely exist to further the FMC’s existence and story, they do not have any depth to exist as characters/as themselves in the story.

Still don’t know what specter-ing does or really is. The FMC does not have a clear personality yet and I’m not a fan of Garrett…not sure about this one so far.

I’m excited to keep delving into this world, although upon reading, I am already a bit frustrated with the lack of explanation and details. There is not enough information about what the specters are, what they do, and how they work and this is already 60 pages in. There is also a lack of details throughout - specifically with characters.
