A river is a river
because it’s always leaving. The sea doesn’t do that – the sea goes in and
out like breath. But rivers just go.

She makes of the sky her
cathedral, and I fancy no Spanish cathedral could be finer than this great
stretch of stars.

The story of my life has been altogether so
