Loving this book so far! The pacing is absolutely perfect! The journey of self discovery and identity for the no doubt soon to be heroine is flawless. Sophie's emotional and mental reaction to peeking behind a veil that she never knew existed is detailed and tethered to unshakeable things like family and purpose. Long way to go, but so far it looks like I'll be along for the whole series!

This story is unfolding so beautifully. The no doubt soon to be heroine Sophie's journey of self discovery and identity is so well paced. Messenger doesn't withhold the slightest detail as it pertains to Sophie's changing perspective of her family and the world around her as she sees behind a veil she never knew existed.
