at the halfway point and i’m ready to speak: trying to sell this book as an enemies to lovers romance with a war in the background is doing it a HUGE disservice. at a minimum, this book is a scathing commentary on religion’s interference in governance and how wars are not ever a “good vs. evil” fight, but that the one true enemy is only ever those who are hungry for power.
