What surprised me was that this is the first book with a detailed recipe for mutton fry as well as full procedures for various surgeries. For the former you feel as if you are cooking and smelling the recipe for the latter you feel as if you are looking over the surgeon/ doctor's shoulder, such is the author's prowess with words to paint a very vivid picture for his reader!
