The main character Peter sounds as you would imagine, he sounds like a gruff and hardened marine. The voice of the 12 year old girl, Ann, however is nothing short of haunting. Some readers are able to juggle multiple voices, unfortunately the Iraqi war vet they chose read this book is not one of them. The foundation of the story is excellent, a solid sci fi with believable science. I will still dread hearing Ann talk
