I think the song can be related to the theme of accepting the unknown future.

I would try to sympathize with the person I was arguing with without making them feel like they're any less important. I would also acknowledge the fact that I have no idea what they're going through, but that I'm here for them.

If I were a short stringer, I would want to fight for my rights, and I understand why it'd be important, but at the same time, I don't think it's fair to compare a measure of life to one's color of skin.

If I existed in the same world as the measure, I would choose to open my child's box. As a parent, I would want to know how much time I get with my kid. I don't think I would tell my kid, no matter the length.

I am not a fan of the politician; he seems like a rich and insensitive person who always gets what he wants.

I do believe in miracles. There are just so many stories that have no explanation whatsoever.

If I had a long string, I would choose not to test my string. Just because I'm not gonna die doesn't mean I'm going to continue to live well and as good as I was before I attempted to test my string.

At first, I believed that there were just two points of view, but after reading a bit farther into the novel, I'm now realizing that there are multiple. Having different POVs is interesting and gives the reader a better understanding of the entire story and what everyone is feeling.

Nina and Ben tend to differ in personality; Nina is kind, while also cautious about the string. She refused to open her box and to believe the strings were truthful unless she had to. Meanwhile, Ben is rather relaxed and accepting of what's going on around him.
