This Splatterpunk Award Winning novella by Morrison was the Second Group Read this month for Splatterpunk horror book club. His incisive powerful and utterly unique writing style brought Helen Troy's tragic fall from royalty among the thin into true perspective as a horror story and a tragedy. I am just past the 25% point and the die has been cast. This is a highly praised piece of literature and his most respected.

I will be finishing #thighgap tomorrow night. <spoiler> Helen has begun her decline. The precursor is suggested to be the slime she confronts in Chapter One. Later she sees a 19 year old model as superior to her with no future. Helen regresses with her food addiction, then we see that the visual, tactile hallucinations are only the start of her decline. Helen is hopeless and terrified,psychosis pending. </spoiler>
