Midway through the book I was getting tired of the main concepts of the book and how they were being delivered. My perception was that Huxley was obviously steel-manning the virtues of eastern philosophy pitted against a straw man version of western society driven by consumerism in a post-Calvinist hangover where these western children were brought up in a morally bankrupt society, raised by a broken generation.
