Throughly enjoying this book so far. The author paints a beautiful picture with her vignettes into what the lives of scribes would have been like in the relevant time periods for each chapter. The in-depth explanations of terminology, entomology and the development of the written word as influenced by religion is wonderfully fascinating and engaging.
