I am struck with the depth of scholarship that C. S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien displayed and practiced. Their inclination and ability to seize upon an idea or concept and then spend years ruminating upon its many dimensions is so far beyond anything I've ever seen or experienced that I'm left standing in a kind of jealous awe.

At the moment, a bit of a grind.
We are slowly working our way from the mere existence of C. s. Lewis and Tolkien towards the start and materializations of the Inklings.
