I have a soft spot for Julie Bindel as a working class lesbian with the temerity to speak her mind. But my God are we ideological opposites. Sometimes I feel the same way about her writing as I do Laurie Penny’s. It’s entertaining but off the mark. Take the opening quote for Chapter 2: “A lesbian is the rage of all women condensed to the point of explosion.” I just have to laugh. It’s fluff.
