I found a lot of the chapters in the last quarter of the book leading up to the climax dragged and became very mundane and repetitive. However really enjoying the beginning of the climax which has seemingly just begun. Finally getting ab excellent first hand description of the white whales menace and stature. Ahabs monomania is more evident than ever however I did enjoy the small blimp of self awareness he showed.

The dedication to the attainment of knowledge on whales is incredible from Melville. Especially considering how little information he would of been working with at the time.

The small chapters building up suspense and knowledge regarding the whale are so intricate and well done. Really helps to paint the narrative between moby dick and ahab.
