To be honest. I feel like it’s crooked, you know? Like there’s an idea and generally it’s passable in presentation but so far I’m really not feeling it.
James, the male lead and pov character, is weirdly obsessed with Charlotte for no apparent reason besides ‘my great great grandfather was friends with your great great grandfather’ and no other reason was given. It just doesn’t feel believable so far.

I like the dynamic between Jamie and charlotte but it feels like it’s built on nothing. One moment, charlotte doesn’t like him and Jamie is left unsure, and suddenly immediately after a murder they are all buddy buddy?? I like it but I want the relationship to naturally progress, you know?
