Jimmy talking about Rosylynn is quite interesting. He was and I am sure, is madly in love with her. She declined his initial proposal because she wanted to finish college, Jimmy was torn up about it, especially since she dated during this time. But there is at least a happy ending to that story

Carter’s dad was a libertarian at heart. He voted for FDR but wasn’t a fan of his green deal agricultural policies. He supported Dwight D. Eisenhower. I also found interesting that Cater’s dad treated his black customers with respect but still believed segregation was necessary
