The ending was suspenseful and dramatic. I liked that. This volume was more plot driven, which I appreciated too. Again, I'm having fun reading this series.

I get why Korra, Mako, and Bolin went after Jargala considering that she threatened Asami.

Varrick and Zhu Li's relationship is a little sappy but cute.

Tenzin has some smart kiddos. 😊

Awww!! The reference to the Turtle Duck Date Night illustration made me smile. That brings back happy memories.

Gotta love Asami for being smooth with Korra. 😉😁 And Korra's protectiveness towards Asami is reasonable/makes sense.

Tokuga is written as a real pill and a maniac. Not that that's surprising.

"Can I just see my girlfriend, please?'

That's probably a silly/minor thing for me to squee about, but that dialogue from Korra made me smile. 😁😍

I appreciate how Asami, Korra, and Tenzin encouraged Zhu Li to run for president. They highlighted her compassion and how that'd make her a great leader. I love it!! 😁❤️ People don't value compassion enough in modern society, so it's nice to read about it in fiction. 😊

Aw. Korra not being responsive to Asami's reassurance/mild mushiness was a bummer to read about. 😔

Mako's persuasiveness with his approach to Skoochy was clever and it worked. He got the information that he needed from Skoochy.

Korra and Tenzin are trying so hard to reason with dipshit President Raiko and help him see sense, but that's not working. He wants to name the new residencies that'll be for the people who live in the Republic City after himself. Eww. Michael Dante DiMartino has written Raiko as an arrogant asshole. 😑🤮

Awww, of course Tenzin is supportive of Korra and Asami. That didn't surprise me. 😁🥰

Dang!! Everything that's happening in the spirit world is sad. Korra's assessment of *why* it was happening was smart and astute.
