I'm kind of confused on why she had to have a fiance and a wedding if that parts already over and done with within the first 10% of the book? And she wasn't even really affected by it? Just seems kind of pointless to me. This new conflict is a big more promising.

For some reason I skipped this book? Well this and the 2nd one but the 2nd one has the dreaded age gap 😅 this one is friends to lovers though and I normally like those so fingers crossed! I'm 2/3 so far with Elsie Silver 🤣
