I guess the message here is a lesson of patience and perseverance, but 1) those children are horrible, 2) the adults are no better, 3) I can feel no compassion for Agnes since she willingly put herself in this situation and won't admit that she is obviously unqualified for the job and overwhelmed by her responsibilities.
