I have not wanted to throw a book at a wall this hard in years. Fingal's fact checking is so condescending, smug, and "um, actually," treating the facts of a teenager's death as completely irrelevant trifles. He has such a fundamental misunderstanding of creative nonfiction and talks down to the genre repeatedly. I am going to have to spend hours cooling down from this, fuck you professor for this assigning this
