My frustration stems from the narrative choice to make Harper an utterly terrible therapist. His professional boundaries are nonexistent. The plot is propelled almost entirely by Harper's irrational decisions and personal compulsions, as he continually inserts himself into his patients' lives far past any ethical or logical stopping point. Instead of generating suspense, this reckless behavior reads as unbeliev
