Discussions of facial symmetry and physical attractiveness are leaning heavily on the side of reductive. Am I bitter because I've never considered myself "conventionally attractive?" Maybe. But I'm also insulted by Rosenblum's presumptuous leaps when it comes to who he concludes *I* am attracted to. I know this book is from 2010, but maybe not everything is about fertility?

Pretty interesting but making lots of leaps about the importance of facial/body symmetry…I think we can acknowledge we often find people with “symmetrical” features attractive but let’s be real. That’s hardly anybody, nor does it factor in things like personality.
