To have to watch everyone be buddy buddy with someone that represents so much pain in your life. We all stand with you and support you entirely. This is meant to be a space where everyone can peacefully, safely, and happily express their thoughts on books with people from all around the world, and yet for you it became a space where you were unsafe and targeted. I hope you know that you didn’t deserve even an ounce of what you experienced, and that YOU are not responsible for what she did to you in any way whatsoever. You are so brave and incredibly strong and I want you to know that we are all so proud of you for having the courage to be open about something like this. You do what’s best for you, whether that’s leaving this app permanently or leaving temporarily to rebuild your emotional and mental health, do what you need to do. We all support you wholeheartedly.

Yeahh.. this is a thing on here! I'm sorry it happened to you.
Something similar happened to me about a year ago, after accepting a friend request from some guy named Luke, kept talking about how "h0rny" books made him and then proceeded to talk about my body etc it was very uncomfortable. I reported him but he made another account (and was msging one of my other friends) we reported his account again... hopefully hes not around anymore

honestly best advice i can give you is to go to setting under:
theres two options
Who Can Send Me Private Messages:
-anyone
-just my friends and groups I belong to

or just private your account and definitely don't accept requests from men

@nafisa grooming is serious and I’m glad Evi had the courage to speak up. There seems to be other exposed to this. I am not sure if it’s the same person but regardless GD has a big issue on their hands and if it wasn’t for people speaking up, we wouldn’t know. I agree with blocking but I’m glad Evi took it seriously because it’s a serious problem

I have no words... that's... i'm really really really sorry about your experience with gr, even though I know words are never enough please take your time bc because what you went through should NEVER FCKING EVER happen to anyone, especially on gr 😭 you're really brave for speaking out, even though all of us who haven't experienced it can't imagine how hard it must have been.
