Such a funny book!

Ok Jodie! Is it worth it? Me pretty much give up on it! But does it pick up later? So far it's just about his parents pets and his failure as a writing teacher which has some funny moments here and there but for the most part I find it somehow very boring! But I'll keep going if you think it's worth it!

Haha, I guess it’s true David Sedaris’ books are pretty boring in that they are just essays about everyday bits in his life. I love him and always find them very funny. For me the best parts of this book are the bits about when he moves to France without speaking French and is trying to learn. If the first part of the book isn’t landing for you I’d just skip straight to that section, I think they are all in Part “Deux” of the book. In particular the essays Me Talk Pretty One Day and Jesus Shaves are very funny.
