I’m enjoying the seasonal vibes of this book, but the amt of REPETITION! If I’d given my 2 cents as an editor, I would have said: limit the use of “softly” and “quietly” - literally every action has been done so in whispers and it’s grating my nerves. And I’ve read “the Raven & Crone” about 30 times so far. Clever shop name, but can we refer to it as “work” or the “apothecary” sometimes?

I wish I was keeping track of the amount of times “gently,” “softly,” and “lightly” have been used to describe every action and line of dialogue. It’s still irking me. If half of them were cut from this book, it would read that much smoother.
