Unlike other historical romances, we're spending much more time with the MMC than with the FMC. Audris has had a few scenes so far, but it's mostly Hugh we are following. This reads almost purely historical fiction. The MCs have met and clearly they are attracted to each other but not much time is being spent on their romance. We're back to discussing the political landscape of 1137 North England.
