Sadly, I haven't gotten a chance to read it in the past two weeks, but I'm liking it so far. I like this female protagonist much better than Katniss
Yeah, really. Haha why are you so surprised? Haven't read much about him yet. Oh, on another topic, my mom got Netflix, and I looked up Southland....they don't have it. But they do have White Collar.
It's my favorite book. You're the first person I've gotten to read it. Haha. So not really surprised, I was just super curious about your reaction. Prince Aeneas is my favorite character, at least in relation to Gull. Aww, no Southland? White Collar is good. If they have Justified you should watch it!
I will give you my full reaction after finishing the book! Hmm, I don't have anyone I like yet. No Justified either. You love these cop shows, huh?
Okay! ^_^. And yes, I really love cop shows. Uhm... You should look up Death Valley. It's not a serious cop show, but it's really funny. I don't remember if we talked about this before, but are you watching The Walking Dead? Death Valley is like a combination between that and Southland. One of the cops is named John ''John John'' Johnson... ^_^.
So it's like Scrubs but with cops? Sadly Netflix doesn't have it. Netflix seems to have a lot of the older series. Not much of the newer ones unless it's really popular. I watched the first season of The Walking Dead. I haven't seen any of the 2nd season. Are you watching it now? Oh...so Death Valley is a comedy zombie cop show. Awesome. Why is his name that...
Ahh... What about... Mad Men? Have you seen that? It's a really good show, and there is like no way Netflix does not have it... Probably. I like The Walking Dead, just having trouble with a few aspects of it. I haven't finished the first season yet though. Death Valley is actually a lot better than I thought it would be. When I saw his name come up on the screen I almost died. Haha. He automatically became my favorite character. Making any progress on Black Ships?
I have not seen it, but it is on Netflix! Is it anything like Thank You For Smoking? Like how the tv show diverges from the comics? I'm waiting until the second season to end to watch it. I should also read up on the comics. It's been a year since I last read it. I was on ch. 86? You're suggesting so many tv shows to watch haha. Sadly no progress still. I spent most of my time with school work and the little free time I had, I played Minecraft....made a chicken slaughter house... Are you reading anything at the moment?
It's actually a lot like Thank You For Smoking. Haha. You don't have that much to catch up on, #94 was just released a week or so ago. It diverges so much from the comic, it's not really keeping my interest. You keep saying they don't have the shows I want you to watch. Haha. I am trying to find one you can. I've spent my free time catching up on Parks and Recreation. I just finished the newest episode. I haven't found a new book to start, just the usual comics.
Oh, I might like that. I love Thank You For Smoking. Yeah, just wait until you get to the last few episodes. Nothing like the comic at all, haha. Don't worry, I will watch the shows you suggested when I get around to downloading them. I've watched a few episodes of Parks and Recreation. They have that one girl from The Office there! Hmm, have you read the comic Watchmen?
I know, I've watched a bit more of it. I don't know if I like it or not >_<. Awesome, especially Southland! ^_^. Yeah, same girl. And the girl from Scott Pilgrim that looks like Joyce. I haven't read Watchmen, but I want to. Have you?
Watch to the last episode! I thought it was ridiculous. Haha. Yes, Southland will be the first one I'll get. Wait, that girl in Parks and Recreation from The Office is the same girl in Scott Pilgrim? I suggest reading it since I can't think of any books you might like at the moment. And yeah, I've read it. It's good.
That totally makes me want to watch it... >_>. Haha. Awesome! And no, I was talking about a different girl. Julie in Scoot Pilgrim, who gets bleeped like every other word. She is in Parks and Recreation also. Haha. I will read it. I have a couple I'm working on at the moment. I want to read World War Z, but I haven't had time to get to the bookstore.
If it helps, I thought the ending was laughably bad haha. Is she the lesbian? World War Z is on my to-read list. Right after Black Ships and The Zombie Survival Guide.
Okay, I will watch it soon. Haha. No, she's the one who worked in the coffee shop with Scott Pilgrim's sister. I want to read The Zombie Survival Guide also! How is it so far??
Laughably bad, right? Ah, her....I don't remember how she looks. Zombie Survival Guide is more serious than I thought it would be. Thought it would be more comedic. So I actually bought a comic book yesterday!
What did they do?? The comics are so good... >_<. She looks like Joyce. Haha. She's cute. Really? I do want to read it soon, even if it is serious. I thought it would be a comedy also though. OMG! Really?? That's not even sarcasm, what comic book??
Who are they? The comics of the Walking Dead or Scott Pilgrim? They're both great! I told Joyce to cosplay the main girl in Scott Pilgrim... Aurora? Ramona? Rama? Plus Justin could do a easy cosplay as Scott. Yep, way serious. Takes the fun out of it. Haha, guess?
I meant The Walking Dead comics are so good, I don't understand why the show is not. I haven't read Scott Pilgrim yet, but I need to. She should cosplay Ramona, she would be super cute! I suppose so, is it interesting at least? I am bad at guessing... Let's see... you just read Watchmen, so that will be my first guess? Or the new issue of The Walking dead that just came out, or... Green Lantern...? Please don't say it's something Marvel... Haha.
It wasn't thaaat bad. Just not as good as the comics. I do like the production value of the show if I remember it correctly. Your list of comics to-read is ever growing. Can't say. I'm only a few pages in. But so far, it hasn't hooked me. Wow, you are a bad guesser, haha. It was something Batman! I bought All-Star Batman & Robin, the Boy Wonder. One of my favorite Batman stories. And why the hate on Marvel?
I like the style of it. I am just being critical. I just think a lot of the changes were unnecessary. Aww, I still want to read it though. I know I am a bad guesser! I have All-Star Batman & Robin also. I've only read the first few issues though. I'm missing one of the middle issues so I'm weary to keep going until I find it. But the story looks amazing. I want All-Star Superman also ^_^.
Are you going to continue and watch season 2? Get the middle issues! Batman is freaking crazy that story. I love it. All-Star Superman is good too. That and Superman: Red Son are my two favorite Superman comics.
I am... I am curious. I am only missing Issue 6... It is driving me crazy trying to find it. He was super intense in the first few issues I remember O_O. I've never heard of Red Son, but I definitely want to read All-Star Superman. What is Red Son about?
I think season 2 just ended. Time to watch it! You definitely have to finish it! He's the goddamn Batman. Red Son is the story of Superman if he were Russian. Instead of his ship crashing in Kansas, it crashed in Russia. It's not modern comics, but it isn't like the really old ones.
I need to watch it also. Oh, while you are downloading it, DOWNLOAD SOUTHLAND... ^_^. Or Justified. I think you will like both, so I'm torn now on which one I think you would like better and should watch first @_@. I have the mindset that if I repeat it enough it will make you watch it sooner... if you didn't notice already. I will finish it! I just need the missing issue. I will probably just end up reading around it. Really? That sounds odd, but really interesting. I like the old comics anyway. Have you read 'A Death in the Family' yet? That's a bit older and really good. How are you liking Black Ship btw?
Haha okay, I'll get to it eventually =p. Which one is better? I thought the politics were interesting in Red Son, plus you get to see a Russian Batman. Yep, I've read it. Justin told me to read that and Year One when I got started reading Batman. Some older comics are a hard to read, like Crisis on Infinite Earth. That was a bitch to read. I finished it! It was good. I didn't realized it was a retelling of The Aeneid until reading the arthur's notes >_>. I love the Egyptian part. Makes me want to read more stories about Egypt haha. Surprisingly, I hated none of the characters, which is a first. I also liked how the story went through multiple generations. Have you read the other books in this series?
Personally, I would probably say Southland is better. Don't get me wrong, Justified is amazing, but Southland gives you a lot more plot variety. The seasons that just came out of both have probably been the best of each show, which is why I am torn. Haha that sounds interesting. I have a few others to finish and then I will look into it. I haven't read Year One, I only saw the movie. A Lonely Place of Dying is good also. And I don't know how you feel about Jason Todd, but you should read The Lost Days. Really? I'm glad you liked it. I really liked the characters also, especially Gull and Prince Aeneas. I love their conversation near the end, when they are older. I need to read it again, but I remember crying at that part. I read Hand of Isis. It wasn't as good, but it wasn't bad. You can borrow it if you want to read it.
Sorry I haven't replied in a while. It's been a hectic week. I'll be sure to get Southland this spring break. I got Year One movie a while ago, but I still haven't watched it. Haven't read A lonely Place of Dying. The lost days are what Jason Todd did after he got revived? Yeah really, it's a good book. How many times have you read this book? Yeah, I'd like to borrow it. I have lots of time to read during this break. I have to read 6 books to catch up to my goal...
Oh, it's okay. Haha. I completely understand. Let me know how you like the show ^_^. Year One is good, a little difficult to watch with my attention span. A Lonely Place of Dying is a short read, it's just about Tim Drake becoming Robin. Yeah, Lost Days is before Under the Red Hood, shows Talia's part in everything also. I actually have only read it once. I need to read it again though when I have time. I will try to have Hand of Isis with me so when I see you next I can give it to you. That's so many >_<. I will be super impressed if you manage to pull this off.
