I am *this* close to putting it down. I love to hate Empyrean, but Onyx Storm is almost unreadable. Violet and Xaden are obnoxious and immature, the pacing is glacial, the writing still awful (I now hate the word “liquefy”), and I couldn’t care less about the many secondary characters Yarros spends so much time on.

Oh no.... Im sorry this one is disappointing. Lenny, I give you credit for pushing through this far. I havent read it, but I have 35 page rule I try to stick with. There are so many great books out there.
