I’m curious what you wind of thinking of this one. I just met the author at the Berry Center in Kentucky and really appreciated his insights.

So far I've found a lot of agreement with what he's saying. He's the kind of voice to put succinctly things that have been disparate and disorganized in my own thought and conversation. Some authors make for great conversation partners through the page. I really liked where he framed the issue, and dropped my guard after hearing him get the garden so right. So few do. I have some disagreement with where he draw the lines of conflict, particularly with regards to everything downstream of the Enlightenment. His framing narratives seem to bounce around a bit, and I wonder what his understanding of Christ's kingdom is in light of how he sees the ups and downs of history, philosophy, and politics. I've got many miles to go with the book yet though, so my thoughts here are very preliminary and loosely held. I've been shopping this book around with many, hoping to find a few that will read and talk it over with me.
