My fundamental question here is this:
If the covenant is supposed to prevent bonds that could be exploited, it doesn’t do that with mates. Like they’re still abiding by the covenant, but she’s STILL absurdly important to him. So like…. Why not at least let them be. Have a no kid rule or something
