see now, went it took me forever to pick this book back up again once I knew, I just knew once he was in the Games I would start losing it and I would reobsessed with the hunger games universe. And I have proven myself correct.

I just wow, after seeing in person how Rome was able to keep such a large population of slaves complacent for so many years, it makes you realize just how much the quote, often paraphrased as "Give them bread and circuses and they will never revolt" applies so well to the hunger games, as you see the games grow and expand over the years to evolve with people's desires for theatrics and betting, & even continues today
