This story is fascinating. Reading about the horrible way people are treated in other countries really makes me glad that I have the personal freedom that every American probably takes for granted. In this book, only true love could make a person subject himself to such a tortuous journey. Even so, the beauty of the people, art, and architecture of each country really shines through.

This book is really getting good now. Having a hard time putting it down. It's 3am and I just have to stop using the "Well, I'm also doing the laundry," excuse and get to bed!
