everyone in this goddamn book is surprised by the existence of highways and traffic..

i know the story is moving along it just doesn't feel like it

almost half way through and we're still doing the set-up... how? why?

so we've got one lazy millennial, one old shopkeeper who is in love with a sweet old lady, said sweet old lady and an obnoxious octopus who is "surprisingly smart"... but no plot

we're at the point where i let the goodreads reading challenges decide my next read... please be a good one!
